If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

And it's definitely the easiest switch to a diet I ve ever made, I'm determined to make this a lifestyle choice, and hubbies on board too.
My uncle aged 61 started this diet - regime! Last sept and wow does he look 10 years younger, amazing.
Love the science bit too!
Might use some of the 500cal meals as non fast day dinners, ESP as the evenings get longer , the habit of munching with the dark evenings will dissipate.

Absolutely, and he is a real success picture. Makes family meal planning for the week simpler too!

hi hermykne- good to read your story and the success your uncle had!!! People say that over a certain age you cannot loose weight or it's very difficult but I am 55 and have just started this 5:2, had my first fast day yesterday and felt really good- cannot wait till tuesday (second fast day). Should definately be much easier as the days get longer and we can be outside for longer- good luck and keep us updated how you are doing!!!ursula
