If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Shift worker has finally joined!

Hi all fellow 5:2 dieters,
I have been lurking for a few days, but have finally joined.

I have done my first fast today! And must say it wasn't that bad.
I work shifts, yes the dreaded 12 hour nights and days.
Because of the shifts, I will not be able to fast on specific days every week but intend to still do 8 fasts over a month.

My husband is similar, he does 24 hr shifts so trying to work out how he can get some fast days in when he is doing three shifts back to back.
Good luck, I started this week too, it's not as bad as I anticipated and I'm staying away from my kids plates!
