For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Taking the plunge

Hi everyone.

After a lot of research and reading, I'm starting this diet next week...got my meal plan ready!

I've read a couple of books, if anyone is interested:
the 5:2 Book by Kate Harrison
The 5:2 Recipe Book by Jaqueline Whitehart
Found them both quite useful, especially the recipe book to help along my merry way.

Anyway, first fast day on Monday. Wich me luck.

Would recommend reading The Fast Diet by Dr Michael Mosley & Mimi Spencer as it very good on the science.

Hi Rach you've come to the right place if looking for info on 5:2, there are lots of very knowledgable people posting here.
Well done in having planned out your fasting day meals in advance, will make it easier being prepared, remember to drink plenty.
