For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hello everyone. I have only just begun the 5:2 (first fast day was Thursday) but found the tips and experiences on here very inspiring and I think they gave me the extra resolve to have a go at it. Thank you all. I hope I can keep it up as it's very very early days for me.

Welcome!

I find that the fast days get easier as your body gets more used to it. Sometimes I even look forward to my next fast day...

Yes I find it easier and just generally less of a big deal as time goes on.

It's very noticeable that the stomach rumbles and hunger pangs you get at first, simply start to disappear. This makes the whole thing less problematic.

Thanks for the kind welcomes.

I'm amazed how even after only one fast I have started to appreciate food (and drinks) so much more and have found myself hesitating before snacking on unhealthy items....well so far at any rate!
