Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Just started also! Would love to get my hubby on board with this too, I'll let him read the book after I finish it. Might be easier than going it alone. Good luck!

Welcome rosen70 (and olive - again  ) to 52fastdiet.co.uk, and to this way of eating.

It's great you are doing with your OH (as am I), that makes it much easier. And there's lots of support available on this forum too, whether you've got questions or just want to chat or sound off. Do use the Progress Tracker to record how you are getting on (if your OH wants to do so as well, he's welcome, but he'll need to join as well) - and keep us posted.

See you around!

I'm new too. I've done two weeks. No weight loss yet although it is the Easter holiday! I've been reading the tips for people who haven't seen much movement on the scales yet. I watched the horizon program earlier using the link I found on this forum. Very inspiring!

Welcome to all the new members. I'm only 4 weeks in. Don't forget to weigh and measure yourself now, at the start of your journey :)

Good to hear all the comments. My husband is sweet to do it with me. I only have 5 kilos to lose but it is sometimes those 5 that are most stubborn yeah? Husband wants the health benefits of the fast however he is trying to do it and not lose weight. One of those tall thin people with a nuclear furnace metabolism haha. He has lost 2 kilos which is not great. Now he is adding 500 calories the day before and after fasting hoping it will counter any further loss. Anyone else in this boat? we work from home so I don't want to watch him eat lunch so he is fasting with me for my benefit. He is 6foot 2 weighs 85 kilos. Also I lost around 1.6 in weeks 1 and 2 but went up the next week could be just the monthly gain I hope will see on next weigh in!Week four starts tomorrow (april 15 Australia!)

My OH isn't doing 5:2 and after my Friday's fast meal he had cheesecake and cream (leftovers from visitors coming on Thursday). How mean! Fortunately there were some raspberries left too, so I had a bowlful to cheer me up! I'm beginning to toughen up, eg when he has choc biscuits with morning coffee etc... I'm trying to make sure that we don't buy my favourites as I find it easier to resist the ones he likes.

Good luck! :clover:
