Hi All.

Glad to have found these forums. I completed my first week and today is the first fast day of the second week. I saw immediate results with a 5 LB loss. YAY!

I guess my question for you all is this. Last week the fast days seem relatively easy. I mean not fun but I wasn't going crazy. Today has been almost unbearable! I have felt starving all day and it took all my will power tonight not to give up. I ate the same lunch as last week so it isn't that I made a poorer choice. (salad and serving of chicken soup)

Have you all found that you have bad days and good days? Or will it all even out as time goes on?

I have ALOT to lose.

Also, I am finding the frozen diet dinners disgusting. Are there any websites with recipe ideas that any of you recommend?

Thanks in advance!

Jade
Hi, Jade!
I usually find one fast easy and one fast unbearable. Every week has been the same. I don't know why this happens but it does.
All I do is think of next day, something that you cannot do if you follow any other diet!
I found week two fast day one (yesterday) really hard. Got through it just!
Kids being home on school holidays probably didn't help.

Was going to fast tomorrow but think I need another normal eating day between!
Good luck
Hi Jadenlea and welcome.
I have found they get easier after the second/third week when your body adjusts to the new way of eating.
Just stick with it and keep going. This WOE is worth it in the long run.
Sorry
Welcome also to rix75.
Good luck to you both.
Hi Jade!
I have been on the diet for 5 weeks now and the first two weeks I found the fast days really easy and actually looked forward to them. From week 3 until now, I find one fast day easy and the other a bit more difficult but not unbearable. What helps me is drinking at least 1L of water on the fast days, if you don't already. You'll be surprised how often you think you're hungry but you actually need a drink.

I have tried different fast days and Mon & Thu work best for me so maybe you just need to try out different fast days and figure out when it is best for your body to fast.

I also find that I feel great the day after a fast day. Do you get that too? Knowing I'll have that feeling makes the fast days easier for me.
The second week was tough for me too. If it's any consolation, week 3 has been easier, so far.
Thanks everyone. What a nice supportive place. I've been reading lots of the other threads on here. Everyone is so nice.

Ria, if you check back here, in answer to your question, Last week, the day after the fasts I felt really good. This week (this morning, day after fast) I felt really dizzy and strange after eating breakfast. It was actually a bit scary, it hit me while I was driving in to work and I seriously considered pulling over.

Last week after the fast day I ate an egg for breakfast, this week I had a tomato sandwich. I was wondering if the carb breakfast caused a mega blood sugar spike. I felt really strange for a couple hours and then it seemed to even out. I think after the second fast day this week I will make sure to do a protein breakfast instead of toasty carby.

Thanks everyone. Tomorrow is Fast day again so crossing my fingers for less cravings.
