Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi - just introducing myself. I started 5:2 two weeks ago and it's going well so far. Haven't found the fast days too difficult as do them while at work and keep busy. I don't religiously calorie count but eat mainly veg and some protein on these days. I have lost 3lbs so far which is just great and I don' t feel tired or hungry. Really pleased so far. I may be back for moral support tho if I hit a wall!

Hi Mipiaceitalia

I think you do need to know how many calories you have on fast days. When I started I was very surprised how many calories some food items contain, a glass of fruit juice can be over 100! The rest of the week its up to you but you do need to know what you have on the fast days otherwise you may be over the only real limits of this diet (400-500).

Well done on the weight loss and good luck with this diet.

Steve
