Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Welcome to the forums Carol!

Hopefully by now you have found the FAQ and seen that on fast days, one is supposed to eat 500 calories (if female) or 600 calories (if male) - or roughly 25% of your estimated total daily energy expenditure (TDEE). Many of us choose to eat this in one sitting as dinner on the night of our fast day. I personally find it easier to do it this way myself. :-)

Hi. I'm in my second week, and love love love food... needless to say, I need to lose a couple of stone. You will find what works for you on fast days, but I have a fat free yoghurt and summer berries about 8am and then a huge salad with chicken and Parma ham for dinner. I lost 4lbs in my first week even though I bake cakes and fudge Tec for a living. You will get there xx
