Hello!

Hi everyone.

I've been on 5:2 for about a month. Joined in the fast days with my folks when I visited them over Christmas, and decided to carry it on and see what happens! I'm more interested in the health benefits than the weight loss, but it's nice to see my tummy's a bit firmer since I started!

Nice forum you have here Moog! Glad to see it's taking off nicely :)

Hi Kosh, was quite surprised to see your name crop up here mate, figured it could only be you!

Sssshh, don't tell SFC I have another community now and that I've been spending my time coding stuff for this place instead of for them ;)

Remind me, which days are you fasting or were you varying it around work? I forget! Have a look in the recipes section for my fasting lasagne, it's not bad if I do say so myself ;)

Hey Moog. Aye, 'tis me! Don't worry I'll keep quiet ;)

I'm fasting Mondays and Thursdays too. I might change it to Monday and Wednesday as I usually jog Mon/Wed/Fri, and didn't like exercising straight after a fasting day. Haven't jogged for the last 2 weeks due to ice/snow, but will start up again tomorrow.

Thanks, I'll try your lasagne recipe. I might see if I can sneak proper meat in there instead of quorn, since us blokes have it easy with 600 cals :P

You could probably get away with lean beef mince if you drain off the fat - or go for turkey mince which is I think almost the same as quorn if memory serves.

By the way, I also found out recently that Tesco's finest venison sausages are only 120cal for 2, compared with the next lowest being quorn sausages at 140cal for 2. I shall have to try these, even if the price is a bit... 'dear'!

turkey mince is fab!!! I usually buy it when it's really nice and fresh- make a batch of spag bol with loads of veggies and freeze batches- so we have it on its own on fast days or with pasta etc on feast days!! lovely!!
