If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

First day -well sort of

We, my other half and I, are starting 5/2 tomorrow. We started it last year after the Horizon programme and lost 1/2 stone each,but then we stopped because we are both in our 50 s and felt that there was not enough information about it and that it may be detrimental to our health. Now , that a book has been published and I have met a couple of people who are successfully doing it ,we feel brave enough to return to it. This is a good forum,thanks for it

hi felixcat- you two are in good company here- my partner and myself are over 50 too and started last friday- loved it and will definately carry on!! I am going to get checked by my GP- not because I am worried but I want to see results in my blood tests as well as on my scales! good luck to you both- let us know how you get on!! ursula
