Hello to you all.

I have been encouraged by my brother and sister's success to begin this diet.

I have never ever calorie counted before so it is really interesting aspect of this diet. I usually find that I feel ill if I don't eat breakfast so I think I will have something small int he morning and then something small for lunch and then a bigger dinner but time will tell.

It is nice to be able to join a forum of like-minded people. :grin:

Welcome to this forum. I hope that you have success, like your brother and sister have. You are really lucky to have people to share the journey with - both family and the people on this forum.
The first fasting day is a bit tough but you will find they get easier as you carry on.

AlixB - this is my first day too. And I'm excited about it. So far I had oatmeal with blueberries for breakfast and am drinking hot tea for the rest of the day. I'm thankful for finding this site and this diet. Thanks to a Michael Mosley television program on US public television!
its my first day too and first fast day, its gone ok, I had a cereal bar at lunch and a healthy meal at 7pm, I have hungry now so will be going to bed soon. Looking forward to breakfast tomorrow!

Hello. I'm new to the site but this is my second week of the fasting diet. I can't quite believe how well I'm doing....5lbs lost!!! I've tried for years to lose weight, and so many different diets, without success. Am really pleased with myself and looking forward to losing some more.
Hello, thanks to everyone who replied. I had a great first day and I hope those who were first-dayers did too.
I am enjoying being creative with food. Luckily I love soup and salads and as I am a vegetarian that is good.
My first fast day went well too. Then was away for the weekend, came back yesterday. Fast day today...Got a bit of a rumbly tummy, but have saved some emergency porridge!
