I'm a newie!!

Hi Everyone
I started the 5:2 way of life this week and have just completed my second fast day. I found the second one a bit easier that the first. I now have four days before my next one and I am a bit anxious that I may undo any good I have done already!

I plan to record my calories on myfitnesspal but not be too religious about it .... mainly because my understanding is that you don't really have to watch calories on the day off!

Wish me luck I have 25 kilos to lose so I nkow that I need to be in this for the long haul!!
Pam

Hello! I am new to this forum but not all that new to the diet. I've been doing it for a few weeks now and it gets a lot easier until you don't really notice you're doing it anymore.

Good luck!

I'm new too and just wanted to say hello! I've not had a fast day yet. I made the decision yesterday I would go ahead and try the diet after reading Dr Mosley's book. So glad I found this forum. Looks like a great resource. My first fast day will be Monday and I'm actually looking forward to it!

I'm new too. Even newer than you. My books only arrived from Amazon today so I am still all the swatting up stage. However I can honestly say that what I've read so far is encouraging and I'm looking forward (I think!) to starting the journey with you. So . . . fingers crossed that we shall soon be complimenting each other on our varying successes.

Another newbie here!! I'm due to start Tuesday, although due to birthday celebrations I only think I'm going to get one day in next week :frown: my planned days are going to be Monday and Wednesday's, or Tuesday and Thursday's, does anyone know if it will matter that I can only start with one day in the first week???

hi to all you newbies and welcome!!! This is definately the best WOE I have ever come across and I have tried many and lost a lot of weight but also put it back on over some time.
I feel this WOE puts us in control and gives us fantastic flexibility so if you cannot stick to your chosen fast days you can change them or have 2 consecutive ones- yes it is do-able and you will all find your way!! The feast days are brilliant too because there is no calorie counting and as long as you stick to your 500 cals on fast days- we have found that one meal using all the cals works very well for us- you will have a steady weight loss!!!
good luck to you all and keep in touch!!

I'm new too!
My mum got me interested in the 5:2 diet and it just works - I've lost 6 pounds in 5 weeks and it's been really easy - I have a long way to go but really feel this diet is different.
