The FastDay Forum

Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

And I think I'll make it!
Hello everyone. Have been reading through the posts and can see that it's a great idea to have such a supportive forum.
Today hasn't been too difficult and I'm pleased to have rediscovered some willpower.
Fingers crossed I'll stick with it
My first fast day was Fri and I went to bed early as I was so hungry but made it! Woke up with a headache but keep hydrated and it soon faded, going to make sure I drink more on Tues which will be 2nd fast day
I've done 22 fast days (and reached my target!). By about 9pm I usually pat myself on the back for having had a successful fast and go to bed early before temptation kicks in (it doesn't because it seems a shame to ruin all that fasting!), promising myself breakfast in the morning, but as countless others have said, I'm not usually very hungry when I wake up. Well done for your first day!
well done 4flipsake (love the name)
another early bedder in the initial phases here but that was because I was shattered! Nowadays, I'm doing 18 hour working days on a fast day and thriving on it. It definitely gets better- may take a while though!
Thx for the replies! Went to bed hungry, fell asleep quickly and then woke up after about 15 minutes and spent about 2 hours planning what I'd make for dinner today!! :))
But woke up this morning feeling really pleased I made it. Not looking forward to day 2 but am determined I'm going to stick with this.
The really good thing about this approach as for me is that you don't have to diet every day. Brilliant!!
