Weigh in day

Hi! I have been on this diet since early march, and I have been weighing myself ever day (mostly). I find that my weight is a bit of a yo yo.. I was thinking instead to only weigh once a week, and wondered what day it should be. Theoretically I know it shouldn't matter as long as it is the same day each week , but Monday in particular is my heaviest day of the week (pigging out over the weekend!) so I though maybe Friday would be good. Any thoughts?

I don't really know that it matters. Perhaps a regular fast morning? I wouldn't do the morning after a fast, as that's kind of a false result, since there's no food in your system to weigh you down.

I weigh once a week on the Monday, before the fast. I think it's obsessive for me to weigh yourself everyday and all kinds of things influence what the scales say. I can get depressed with the up and down of it. It's hard to resist though, especially if Ithink I am losing and you want to check.

I don't think there is anything wrong with weighing every day- it seems to be a comfort to a lot of folk. I would suggest though that you use one of the tracker apps (think it's called Libra) which plots the trend and smooths out the variations (kencc has a thread about it)
I have a hate hate relationship with scales and weigh once a month on a Sunday morning after the necessary toilet visits and before eating anything. Sunday is usually a fast day for me, the other days vary, but will probably not be a Saturday. So I'm weighing one or two days after a fast. Friday sounds like a good day for you.
Do you measure? And take note of how your clothes feel? I find that much more useful than the numbers on a scale.
Oh, and please can you remember to put your stats into the tracker? The more info we get the merrier! :D

Thanks for the advice, guys. I think I will aim towards a Wednesday morning weigh in, as I fast Monday/Thursday, and Monday's will often be artificially high after a big weekend!
