My husband spotted a PBS showing of Dr. Mosley's coverage of the 5:2 diet. I then watched it and was completely intrigued by it. We bought the book and have been giving it a go (only a couple weeks in).
I am a nurse and a newer running enthusiast. I want to drop 20 pounds before my next marathon in November, but I want to keep it healthy. I was very impressed with the data that has already been collected and the remarkable decreases showing in the LDL, Triglycerides etc.
If there are any other fellow runners also doing the 5:2, I would love to hear how you plan your fast days especially if you are tackling a long run, or some tempo runs.
Thank you kindly for any input.
