Hi babsb121 and welcome! :)

I hope you don't mind but I split your post out into a new topic so that more people can see it.

How have you found your 5:2 journey so far?

Hi babsb121. Welcome. I normally don't bite either, however by 6pm on a fast day I might just get the urge!!!

Hi babsb121, I am new to the forum as well. I am hoping to find some good advice here and support for when the munchies attach :)
I started on the diet 3 weeks ago. What surprised me the most is that the fasting days are easier for me than the day after the fasting day :)

Hello, i'm new to this website but started the 5:2 2 weeks ago. Put on 400grams in the first week and lost 200grams in the second so over the 2 weeks it's still a gain and not a loss which is a bit dissapointing but I'm not giving up just yey, must just be eating too much on my non fast days which I didn't think I was over eating but I guess I could def cut back.
Anyone else having a slow start at it?

Hello blazee and welcome to the forum!

Good to hear you are being phlegmatic about your disappointing start with 5:2. I think you've got the right idea - not to take the dictum 'eat whatever you like on feed days' too literally. In the end this way of eating works by reducing the overall calorie intake so if we just overeat on the 5 days we undo the good work of the 2. Anyway you've obviously 'got it' so I am sure better results will follow.

And it might be worth having a look at this topic: Why do the scales show an increase when I've been so good?

Me too. I started 10 days ago and have lost a little bit... Enough to keep me going but not enough to make me complacent !

Hello :-)
