Hello!!

Well i've reached "lunch" time on my 1st fast day, still on the water and ginger tea, might switch to peppermint for the afternoon!! LOL!
Looking forward to my dinner very much!!

Here's the thing though, I'm due to go out to dinner on Thursday (just Strada) but that was going to be my 2nd fast day of the week, i don't really thing that i should fast 2 days in a row and do tomorrow and that leaves friday..... normally a glass of wine at the end of the week

Oh what to do??!!! would it be totally pointless fasting Thursday, only to go out for dinner

Or should i brave it and try a Friday??!!
Just ONE glass of wine? I don't see this being a problem.
Or you could eat something light at Strada. Are you one of those people with huge willpower?
I think i could be, i really want this to work
Maybe a fish dish or salad - avoid the garlic bread!! and choose a small wine over that almost inevitable large!

Thanks TML13
Hi Lullabella. Congrats on your first fast. Sounds like your doing well.
First this is a way of life not just another diet so you don't always have to be perfect.
I also understand the Friday wine thing. What if you fasted Friday with no food until dinner then had a low cal meal with a small glass of wine so you don't feel deprived.
Not perfect but not every week is.
If it's too difficult to switch to friday, then do a lighter evening meal on wednesday, then call it quits on the food intake until your evening out on thursday and enjoy a kind of mini fast. This WoE is only sustainable because it is very flexible.

Spritz your wine (if it's white) it will go further, and hydrate you at the same time.
Thanks everyone - VERY helpful :like:
Like you say this is so flexible and a mini-fast has to be better than just ruling out the rest of the week
I think i'll go for a light meal Wednesday and fast through till Thursday's meal out
I only really have salads with maybe some fish or chicken for lunch at work anyway, so can also keep tomorrow's lunch light too

So glad i found this forum!!! :victory:
Just think of what you want more. The dinner of Thursday or the wine of Friday?

I always had one or two drink on Friday night but I realised that it was a good day to fast so I just moved the drinks to Thursday. It's so good that we can move things around and we don't feel any pressure!!!
I just put "Strada" into MyFitnessPal and it has all the calories - loads of choices for less than 500cal :)
Doodle, yesterday when I was trying to find the calories in my cream cheese I put in Lidl and I got around 300 results but NOT my cream cheese! I was screaming to my screen, LOL!
