Another newbie

Hi, I just wanted to introduce myself. I started the 5:2 diet 3 weeks ago. Not sure what is happening with my weight, but my jeans are feeling looser.
I did week one by having a boiled egg for breakfast and lean protein with green veg at dinner. Week 2 I was away and only managed 1 fast day. Week 3 complicated by a vomiting bug. Appeared to have a total weight loss of 5 lbs, but have gained back 3lbs, so think some of that weight loss must have been temporary due to illness.
Embarking on week 4 and today is a fast day. Decided to try not eating until dinner, then having one meal, but feel headachy and stange, so will revert back to 2 smaller meals. Wish me luck

HI - I am trying with just one meal which I am just about to have!! Really hungry now and I may re-think two meals on Wednesday my other fasting day. I have kept quite busy today until about 1 hour ago when I got back from walking the dog and decided to sit down and read a book for half an hour - big mistake - rumbling tummy getting the better of me!! Best of luck to you

best of luck to both of you- debbie and scoobisnacks- just wanted to say that in my experience two meals are very doable!!! and not at all problematic- try porridge as it is slow release and keeps you feeling full for a long time!!!Looking forward to my fast day tomorrow!
let us know how you get on!- ursula

Thanks folks. I find a boiled egg in the morning is enough to keep me going until evening, so my thinking was that as it's such a small amount it can't make any difference, hence my attempt at not eating until evening. I was so wrong that little egg makes all the difference, such is the power of protein!
