For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi everyone, having lost 19lbs on slimming world and coming to a standstill i saw a magazine article about the fast diet and the health benefits and was unable to resist. Bought the book and am just finishing my 2nd fast day which was no where near as hard as I thought.
Hoping to find inspiration in here. Using the 5:2 method btw. Would like to loose another 10lb but hoping most of all to change my attitudes to food as am a definite comfort eater.

Hi Allybear & welcome to the forums!
Congrats on your weight loss so far, and all the best with the changeover to 5:2. Although technically you don't need to diet on the non-fasting days I would suggest you keep eating more or less as normal - ie the way you have been eating on slimming world, so you're not changing too many things in your diet at once. After being on 5:2 for a while you'll be able to adjust your eating on your feed days according to your body's needs :)
