Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Coming Back to 5:2
19 Apr 2013, 17:09
I followed the FastDiet for a month and lost 71/2 pounds! I don't know why I stopped. I've gained back 5 1/2 of them. Lesson learned. Back to 5:2 for me.

Sometimes life is a cruel mistress, is she not? Glad you are back and hope you stick with it this time, we all know how easy it is to drift but now you know how painful it is when you do.

Good luck,

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement.

This is the easiest diet I've ever been on...can't even truly say why I strayed! Oh well, I'm back on plan; that's what matters.

yes this is for life! Maybe not for ever as 5:2, I am looking forward to reaching that nirvana state called 'maintenance' with maybe 6:1 some weeks or some 5:2 with bigger dinners... but intermittent fasting will remain part of the package, I think for all of us. Otherwise, well... you are the perfect example! Great to have you back on board!

I fell off the wagon this week. After having visitors from the UK for 5 days over last weekend and also being off work and having to go to physio each day for an injury, I just kind of 'gave up'. I'm horrified that I could give it up so easily! time to get back on track next week :)

Well, you know you can do it from previous experience so it's like you're half-way there.

If you don't mind me asking, why do you think you stopped? Any guesses?
