Thinking about food differently
20 Apr 2013, 09:20
Only been doing it a week do no weigh in yet but have to say this is changing how I feel about food. Every other eating plan I have tried I've spent hours dreaming about fry ups, puddings and chocolate. Woke up this morning and was offered a fry up. Didn't feel like it and had scrambled eggs! I've never refused a fry up in my life! I think it's because I know I can have if I want! It's not forbidden! My eyes are open!
It's sort of magical, isn't it? I think it shows the very real part our brains work, just knowing that no foods are off-limits is very liberating. I feel as though I have been reset  best of luck to you :clover:
Ive always been the 'sabbotage' type of dieter, and now I follow 5:2 as a WOE rather than a diet. When I was 'on a diet' i constantly battled and argued with myself, in my head, and always i felt like a failure as the sabbotage self usually won the battle. The other day i found myself baking cakes on a fast day and if i was on a diet i would have relented and eaten a piece or 6 but now i say to myself, if i want a piece i will have one tomorrow when im not fasting, by the time tomorrow comes i never want it. Yes its magical!
Also went for a run this morning because - wait for it - I felt like it!!! Now I'm sure this lovely weather has something to do with it but I also think it's because I don't HAVE to do a certain amount of exercise to keep to a certain amount of calories or point or checks or whatever! AH - MAZ - ING!
Yes, it happened to many people. Not me though, I admit. I still think of food like most people think of sex, LOL!
I must admit that it is a kind of miracle indeed.
This WOE gives me so much inner peace. Because I do not think of food and because I really do not even want to eat tasty 'bad' foods anymore.
So funny!
But very relaxing

And I've only done two fast days ...
This WOE promised good things! :victory:
