Weightwatchers meals?
21 Apr 2013, 07:40
Hi there, I have been doing 5:2 for 2 weeks and have been having poached egg on toast for brekkie, a slim-a-soup for lunch and then a weightwatchers ready meal with a bit of veg for dinner - all for 500 cals!

Lost 2lb in the first week which I'm pleased with because I have eaten quite freely on non-fast days. Just wondering if it is ok to have ready meals??? Anyone knw? I figured that because they are low co they are easier than faring around cooking something when your really hungry lol!

Your doing great!!

I have been on this for a week too and have had ready meals alot of people on here do this I have read as its easier. M and S do a good range of slightly more expensive but nicer I find weigh watchers ones abit sloppy if u know what I mean! I bulk mine up with veg/salad too I had a whole bag of salad as only 25 cals!

We often have fresh bought soups- they fill us up and tell us the cal count so quick to prepare after work

Ahh, good to hear others do Pre-packed, ready made stuff - I find them fine, yes a bit sloppy, so might try some M&S ones this week :-)

The M&S fuller longer range is delicious with a great variety to choose from. I buy them when on special offer& then freeze them but you do have to fully thaw out before cooking.

Hi,

I have been making a pot of 0 point soup (which I calculated had about 300 cals). this gets me through the day, with some fruit to snack and milk in my tea which I cant give up!!

Hi Kezzylou,

Although I eat less ready meals now than I used to, I always have a few M&S Count on Us meals in the fridge, as they're the only ones I enjoy.

The Chicken Casserole is particularly good and really filling. It actually tastes more like a roast chicken dinner.

I agree with everyone else about the WW meals, I don't like them at all and some of the ingredients sound so alien, you haven't got a clue what you're eating! At least the M&S ones have 'normal' ingredients in them.

Hope you enjoy them too.
