If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Although new to this forum, I have been following the 5-2 fast diet since February. Although I wasn't really overweight - according to the NHS chart I scraped in just within the normal range of weight - 12st 6lb for my height 5ft 10 in. However, I felt heavy and uncomfortable with a growing spare tyre round my middle so when I read about this new way of eating I thought I'd give it a go. So far I have lost 6lb and now weigh in at 12st exactly and feel much better already, and I intend to carry on until I get to my target weight of 11st 6lb. I haven't found it that difficult although some fast days are better than others and there have been some fluctuations in my weight but so far I'm pleased with the progress. I am looking to share experiences on this forum and gain some support when the going gets a little tough!
