The FastDay Forum

Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

I found that inspirational quote on my Pinterest board last night and loved it. It's printed out on my desk to look at :)

Maybe "suck it up" is an American expression but I think this quote will get me through some rough days.

Any other inspirational quotes that you think of to get you through the fast days?
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I'll eat you tomorrow, is only a day away... ;-)
Think it must mean something different in the UK cause to me it sounds like--a minute on the lips, a life time on the hips!

This is brilliant!
"suck it up" basically means to put on your big girl panties and do what you've got to do without complaints. Or maybe as Nike would say "Just do it"
Another one from Pinterest "a year from now, you'll wish you started today"

Love that one, isn't it true that we all put things off because they're going to take a long time .... and by the time we get around to them we would have already finished !!!!!!
Sarcastically sung
It's a santa claus world, if you will...
Ice cream and candy bars, eat your fill
and marshmellow fatness, that's bound to kill,
We love it that way !

We love it that way every day and we hope that the

I'm the world's greatest procrastinator! But the wonder with 5:2 was that I started it without knowing it! After 3 days of eating and drinking, I did my usual "break" of two bowls of porridge (one for dinner and one for lunch) in order to bring my stomach back to its previous condition.

On that day, as I was eating my second bowl of porridge, an email came with the details of this diet. To me, it was destiny! I had already started, why not continue?
