For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi all, Im just about to start the 5:2 lifestyle on a recommendation...im very overweight after 2 kids and over eating. Im fed up with trying diet after diet and failing, I want to be healthier, fitter, leaner and happier :grin:
Welcome to the forum and the 5:2! I have been on it nearly two weeks and have ALOT to lose and like you I have tried other diets and already I am thinking this is the one I can do forever. Be strong on your first fasts as it gets easier, I have done 4 now and found the 4th a breeze.

Hello! I'm new too! I to piled on the pounds after 2 kids, tried and failed most diets now.... Want to get back to post children weight!
