For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi,
my name's Nicola, I'm 26 and a mother of 2 girls. I would like to drop about 7 lbs and generally improve my health. I work in a book shop so have had a good read of all kinds of diet books that have arrived in the past 5 years without really trying any but was very interested in trying this one. it seems the only way to lose weight that doesn't require me to be miserable and starving all the time. I'm not a huge eater anyway but love takeaways, chocolates and all the things that aren't great for me. so I want to be able to eat foods that really benefit me on my fasting days.

I hope to get to know you all and be supportive and supported in our journey.

Welcome to the forum and this WoE (way of eating)! I have had a few takeaways and choc bars in my first few weeks and lost 3.75 pounds in my first week :)

You will get used to it! I have nearly completed my 5th fast which I found a little harder than my 4th, I think because there were cakes at work and I am sure my sense of smell increases on a fast day. Anyway I didn't touch any and feel proud of myself, 2nd weigh in tomorrow! Hope you get on ok x
