If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hello!

I have just recently discovered 5:2 and am soooo excited!! I can really do this. Not for a week or a month or a year. This is doable forever!!!

Started last week and am on my 4th fasting day tomorrow. Is it sad that I almost look forward to it? I am hugely overweight and where losing weight in the past has always been about looking better now I am older and my health has become so much more important. Losing weight as a side effect to improving general health is amazing and this way of doing it is painless and doesn't stop you living a normal life un-obsessed by food!

So far I have lost 6.8lbs but I will be happy to be just a stone or 2 lighter this time next year.

I am looking forward to checking out the site and seeing how others are getting on (and to make sure I am doing it right as it just seems too easy!!!

Hi, I'm new too. Sounds like you're doing brilliantly with it! I can't say I look forward to the fast days but they are certainly manageable
