If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi from a newbie! So pleased to find this site (saw Michael Mosley on the Sarah Millican show tonight). Both my husband and I tried alternate day fasting before Christmas and I lost 3.5 kilo in 5 weeks, which was great, but I still have a way to go. We did find it tricky deciding what to eat when fasting on alternate days, so I'm pleased to see that you have a Recipes forum, which I'm sure will be a great help.

I'm looking forward to trying to lose some weight, and getting healthier the 5:2 way!

Hi Pauline and welcome. We saw Michael Mosley on Sarah Millican show last night too - he didn't manage to persuade Sarah to try it out did he? :D
