For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

I'm new to this forum but have been on the 5:2 diet for about a couple of weeks.Started really well with weight loss of 4lbs in first week but have only lost about 1/2 lb since, saying that waist measurement has decreased by 2 and 1/2 inches.....anyone else had this? ;)

Welcome & well done on your loss! Some weeks you may find you lose a bit less than others, for examle this week I thought I was set to lose another lb but actually maintained. I've been doing this 6 months now, so I know next week I'll probably lose a bit more overall :)

I don't mind when it comes off less quickly, what other diet allows you to eat all your favourite things and yet lose weight, get healthier and see your measurements reducing?!

Thanks for info....I guess its early days for me still but you are right about the positives of this diet just have to stick with it. :)
