Hi everyone,
I started eating 5:2 on Monday and I've had 2 fast days this week. Fasting is not a problem, it's the feast days I'm struggling with - all I want to do is eat chocolate! I know it's really early days so I'm hoping I'll get over it in a couple of weeks :S

Hi Waddlebottom (great name by the way!), and welcome to the forum. Sorry about your chocaholism! Maybe try drinking more liquid and eating LGI (low glycaemic index) and low-carbohydrate foods? As you get more used to fasting I think the need to over-compensate on feed days should diminish. Oh, and don't think of them as feast days ;)

Oh yes, perhaps a change in terminology will help! I have taken to calling them repair days and growth days -- as a reminder that I really don't need to grow any more! I'm trying to choose healthy foods and also have a nice treat or two on a growth day. But I'm not about to have that chocolate croissant for breakfast *and* a couple of macaroons at lunch *and* a brownie at night. I'll choose one :-)
