For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hello! I'm new to this!

Hello everybody

I'm starting my first fasting day today and wondering how it will go. I have a lot of weight I want to lose but more than that I hope I can switch on repair genes and that some of my muscle function problems will improve.

I'm also going to view it as an exercise in developing patience - that's my plan anyway.

Hope your first fasting day is going good...i did mine first one on thursday and was certain I'd give up half way through because I have no willpower...but I was so pleased with myself because I made it through the day...and I'm enjoying eating normally today...good luck and hope it goes well for you...Lou

Thank you! You did well to do the first day. Mine has gone quite well. I had a tiny meal this morning and am about to immerse myself in a bowl of lentil soup. In between I've had lots of weak black tea in front of the opening games of the Six Nations.

Next fasting day is Monday when I will have to be more active so it will be more challenging I guess.
