Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!
If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!
Side benefit - food really does taste so much better once you actually are hungry. Even a big plate of veg just tastes fantastic
Welcome to the forums
I only joined last week and have done two fasts so far. And I agree, as will many of us on here, that before fasting we were filled with horror at being hungry! I can remember saying to my OH (other half) one day that I was starving and I'd only gone an hour after my normal lunch time! I don't think I'll ever say that again!
Just remember to drink plenty of (non sugary) fluids, don't get hung up on weighing yourself and remember that the feeling on hunger comes in waves and doesn't increase over the day. I've found keeping busy helps and takes my mind off it.
Hope you get on ok
