For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

I'm starting tomorrow.

I feel like I'm on an adventure. I saw the programme in Aug. last year and tried one day of fasting. I felt I needed to know more. In Amazon the fast diet book came up on the daily deal for Kindle and I jumped at the chance to buy it. Now having read it through and looked at various things on the net I decided to make a date and start fasting on Mondays and Thursdays. My husband is luckily supportive so there is no turning back.
I am in my seventies and suffer from inflamed colon so reading that it helped inflammation it was the finally clincher to getting on with it as my weight is also now not good either. I am fairly fine otherwise and have lost weight before but, as is always the case, it came back on.
Be pleased to hear from any other older people on this 52 Fast Diet.

I have also decided to try 5:2, inspired by watching the Horizon programme recently. My days will also be Mondays and Thursdays so first day tomorrow, eek! My husband will be doing it as well which will make preparing food much easier. I am glad your husband is supportive too and I hope you feel better on the diet! Good luck!
