For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi,

I saw the TV programme and thought I would have a go. That was in August. I have lost 3 stone in that time and I am amazed at how easy it was. At the moment I have hit a plateau and I'm stuck but It doesn't matter. On other diets I would have panicked and probably fallen off the wagon. I was morbidly obese 42 BMI and now I am 34BMI
I'm exercising everyday and its so much easier now with the weight loss and the feeling of well being I get on Fasting days.
I think my attitude to food has changed completely. I thought I would join the blogs and see how others are getting on.

I've been very ill so I am now trying to get back into the rhythm. I have just finished a 2 day fast and feel positive again.

Welcome Jacqui and well done indeed on your weight loss with 5:2! You must feel so much better :) I had just crept into the obese category (which I must say was a bit of a shock) and am now almost back into the healthy range.

It will be interesting to hear how your plateau progresses, how you get out of it and how long it lasts etc. I'm sure many of us have that still to come. I started in August too and have lost 2st 5lb, but no loss last week and am wondering if that is the start of a plateau. I'll find out on Friday when I weigh in!
