Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Survived first day!
04 Feb 2013, 20:39
I know the day is not over yet but so far my first fast day has gone well!. It was less hard than I thought it would be. I was hungry at times but not too bad (to be honest it's quite nice to feel hungry). The only low point was feeling a bit dizzy late afternoon but it did go away.

My hubby is also on the diet and it went well for him too. We really enjoyed every morsel of our dinner of crunchy salad and grilled chicken breast and felt quite virtuous :)

I am looking forward to a normal (but not over-the-top) day tomorrow.

I hope it went well too for everyone on their first fast.

Congratulations! Yes, the first day is the hardest, I think. I'm on my fourth week today and I haven't even thought about it :-)

well done on your first day, it's been mine as well. I hadn't really got prepared but seem to have managed ok,it's interesting to notice body and mind responses to fasting.
I've got my breakfast all prepared and can't wait to get to my porridge and fruit in the morning.
Good luck for your next fast
