For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Starting today!!

Hi,

I decided last night to try this and no time like the present so I jumped straight in with my first fast day today. Glad to have found this board today.

I've tried various diets with moderate success on each, but my weight loss has slowed considerably. I've lost 23 pounds so far since April 2012, from my heaviest in June 2008 I've lost 56 pounds, but have quite a bit left to go.

I'm cynical but also hopeful about this diet, would I think be the best way to sum up my feelings going in....

Hi Skykitty. I am not far ahead of you - on my second fast day today. I actually feel quite optimistic so lets hope I am right and you soon lose your cynicism so we both end up positive about this regime! Good Luck!

Thanks Anne,

I do feel positive about being able to complete the fast days, but less than certain about how good the results will be. I plan to give it at least 6 weeks before coming to any conclusions. Good luck to you, I hope to be around the board a fair bit so will hopefully see you here.

Hiya Skykitty,

I'm always cynical about anything thats called a 'diet' but this seems so logical and relates to how I eat normally. I've a habit of not eating all day and then loading up with something really healthy ... with a pile of carbs, mayo and then cake or biscuits :lol:

So in my mind I'm not changing my whole eating habits, just altering a few things ;)

I feel really positive and feel that this has come about at just the right time for me ... theres nothing worse than trying to do something when your brain in not feeling right about it ... it'll work if we make it ;)
