I am 64 years old and my BMI is 23.9. My problem has always been that I carry my excess weight around my middle and have never been able to shift it completely. So, although I am within the healthy weight range for my height I would like to once-and-for-all tackle my waistline.
I know that being apple shaped is not healthy and this is my main motivation for trying the 5:2 plan. The other health benefits sound pretty good too.
