The FastDay Forum

Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hello Everyone
08 Feb 2013, 21:06
This is my second 5:2 diet. My first was in 1990 and I lost shed loads :D ! At the time, I was recovering from having my gall bladder removed, and during my recovery I felt fine for a few days (and ate normally), and poorly for a couple of days (when I ate very little). I was doing the '5:2' diet even before it was invented

It really does work - I'm not kidding. Now I have an under-active thyroid, I'm having to do a second attempt at the 5:2 diet as I am turning into a porker! Hopefully, it will be just as effective.

Good luck to everyone else on it :D
