I've just started the 5:2 diet and did my first fast day on Thursday, I thought I'd do Monday's and Thursday's as it fitted into my lifestyle. It went well, I didn't feel too hungry, I have to eat 3 small meals a day because of medication but I managed to keep within the 500 calories.
I just weighed myself this morning and found I'd lost 2lbs, shocked as we had our usual Friday night Chinese takeaway.
I have decided not to calorie count on normal eating days, something I've hated on previous diets! I'm just going to be careful with what I'm eating. If I don't lose weight then I'll look at this again.
