Fasting within 24 hours

Hello, I'm new to the diet and only completed my first fast last thursday. I decided to fast from 8.30pm wed to 8.30pm thursday and was amazed how easy it was. Can anyone confirm if I will succeed fasting like this as the majority of the time I was asleep?

Hello and welcome to the forum.

I start my fast at 8pm Wednesday until breakfast on Friday, with my 500 spread throughout Thursday. I think this works out around 36 hours of fasting. I've read of others doing the same a you though. 5:2's appeal is its flexibility/adaptability so you can do what works for you.

Hope that helps :)
