Hi Ally. I'm new to the forum but have following this form of eating for a while. I lost a lot at the start and then the weight loss slowed down so I had to change a few things.

I found it hard to do low calorie days at the start but found they got easier the more times I did them. On the normal eating days I sometimes found myself less hungry and eating less but at other times would eat loads more. Some people say they gradually want less on the "normal" days but that hasn't always been the case for me but then I do tend to overeat sometimes.

Hope this works for you as I have found I feel more energetic following this approach and I don't think this is due to the weight loss alone.

Hi Ally

Good luck with your first fast day on Monday...I've been on the diet a week an half and lost 4lbs in my first weigh in...I find fast days pretty easy, but everyones different...my first fast day I seemed to spend all day thinking about food lol, but that goes away.

I drink alot of iced water on fast days and save my calories for a meal about 5pm and for a little snack about 8pm...The best idea is just to see what works right for you...I was nervous on my first day aswell but once thats out of the way you'll be fine :D ...Lou

hi ally- welcome!!! It is quite exciting embarking on this new journey- I have been doing it for 2 weeks now and lost 4lbs- am very happy with that and want to loose loads more- at least 2 stone but as I am not in a hurry I worked it out that over one year loosing about 1lb/week that makes nearly 3.5stone- not bad!!!!
I find eating porridge with berries in the morning is great- keeps me going all day till evening when we have fish or chicken with loads of veg to make up to 500cals.- works well!! good luck and let us know how it goes!! ursula
