If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

I'm planning on starting the 5:2 diet properly tomorrow after having a trial fast day last week and just wanted to say hi to everyone here :D

I've lost nearly 3 stone over the last two years with weight watchers although more recently I've moved more to a general healthy eating plan because I find working out my points every day a bit tedious but find the weigh ins keep me motivated to keep on track!

I've got about 7 pounds to go to get to my goal weight and I'm hoping that 5:2 will help me get there and more importantly help me to maintain a healthy weight and get all the health benefits too.

I still haven't quite decided how to divide up my fasting days so I'll have to see how it goes I think. I've just finished reading the book so I'm feeling quite motivated and I'm going to have a look through this board to get some ideas.

Have a good fast day tomorrow! It's mine too. See how you feel about your 500cal. I started with three little meals and now I prefer keeping them at dinner. Must make sure to drink plenty.
