Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Nearly completed Day 1!
10 Feb 2013, 21:15
Hi, Ive read up on this diet over the last few days and decided that rather than think about it and research it for the next month, Id just get on and do it! So Ive ordered the book and had my first fast day today.
Im 5'6 and looking to lose just over a stone. Ive used Fitness Pal with good results, but over Christmas was rather rubbish and the weight's creeping back on.
Today has gone quite well and looks like this:
Breakfast - one medium sized boiled egg (strangely filling)
Lunchtime - felt quite hungry, especially making food for everyone else, but held off eating (first day willpower)
Nothing but drinks (herbal tea and water) til 3.30pm when my stomach growled loudly til I gave it a Belvita biscuit!
Dinner was half a pack of Thai cous cous with added smoked salmon
Total for day - 420cals (logging it with fitness pal is so easy)
Ive got a rumbling tummy now but feeling pretty good - Ill definitely keep this up for a while and see what happens (might need a better food plan for next day)
