The FastDay Forum

Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hello, just introducing myself as a newbie! It is 11.15 am and I am doing OK so far! Bit of a headache going on and feel like I could eat everything I see, but determined to stick with it. I have a lot of weight to lose and have tried pretty much everything over the years, but I have become very disillusioned with it all. I have an underactive thryoid. I am on medication, but, in spite of the meds, I definitely find it much harder to lose weight since diagnosis than I used to. Thought I'd try this and treat it as a 'way of eating' rather than a diet and see how it goes. Any support welcome! R. :)
Hi fzmummy & welcome to the forums!

Feel free to come along and chat with the other Monday fasters in the 'fasting today' forum - there's a topic for support & chat each day :)
Hi fzmummy - I'm new too and have just started today with my first Monday fast!! It's 4.25pm and I have to say I am pretty starving but I think it goes in waves and will pass.

Good luck with everything. I'm not a great user of forums but I have a feeling that I will use this one and benefit from all the support that appears to be on offer!!
