First Post - Eek!

Hi everyone,

this is my first post, although my 3rd fast day. I've been reading posts on here for about a week and have found some really great information and advice.

Tomorrow will be my first weigh in since starting this new WOE, and I'm really excited! However, I do have a question, which may be TMI for my first post! Since starting this last Monday, I have hardly been to the loo - is this normal? I'm hoping it won't affect my result on the scales in the morning :D

Hi & welcome Kim!

I know some people have found themselves getting a bit 'backed up' when they start out on 5:2, probably the body getting used to feeding at different times and the change in fluid levels and food choices. It's something which should return to normal when your body has adjusted to the new lifestyle, meanwhile try not to be disheartened if this does effect your reading in the morning, as once things are back to normal the losses will show up :)

I changed my intake to include a lot more fruit (pears are good) and porridge on feed days as lots less fruit on fast days. Veggie choices on fast days help too.

Thank you both for your replies. I definitely won't be too disheartened with the scales in the morning if I don't see the result I'm hoping for. This week has been brilliant - I've felt so much more positive and confident, slept much better - these are reasons enough to continue and keep me motivated.

Will definitely make sure I get plenty of fruit and veg too :-)
