The FastDay Forum

Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hello all,

I've been doing Intermittent fasting since November, and have lost 12kg so far. I do find it very easy, and even now still look forward to fast days. I choose my busiest days as fast days, never on the weekend, but days when I have something on in the evening as well. I haven't ever felt weak from it. I do get hungry from time to time, but I know being able to eat in the morning helps.

Actually for the last 6 weeks I've been doing 4:3 and still find it very easy, and my weight is dropping quite a bit faster than before.

I lose about 500 grams a week typically, but sometimes I lose up to 1.25 kg a week.

I was 117 kg when I started, was fairly overweight, but have always been fairly stocky, my aim is to get down to around 86 kg, and wouldn't want to lose more than that. I'm now at 105 kg, and plan to continue the 4:3 until I get down to around 95 at which point will start back on 5:2.
Hi Matty & welcome to the forums :)

Sounds like you're doing really well with this lifestyle. It would be great if you could add your loss data to the progress tracker as we're quite lacking in details from men on the diet!
