For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi everyone. Started the diet last week. First time I have ever tried dieting and am finding the fast days pretty easy so far but not sure if I'm eating too much on feast days. Lost 1lb last week but put on half an inch on the waist. Perhaps I didn't measure properly before starting the diet. I have a couple of stone to lose but am not looking for a quick fix. Any tips would be good though.

Hi fissi & welcome :) Sounds like you're doing alright already with your loss. I wouldn't worry about the seeming gain to the waist after just one week, it could well be due to a mis-measure, or a bit of bloating/full tummy! Make sure you measure around the same time of day and same day each week to get results you can compare fairly. I'm sure it will go down over the coming weeks.

If you tell us a bit more about your eating habits when you fast & on your feed days perhaps we can offer you some tips specific to your needs :)
