For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi there, lovely to find this forum. I am a food writer and run a food tour business, so naturally, weight gain is an occupational hazard for me. I suddenly gained 20 lbs. about 2 years ago. I have never tried a successful diet in my life until now. I am keen to share my experience and to hear about others. I am also keen to find great ideas for fast days and to convey my own.

Hi Celia & welcome to the forums :) Sounds like a lovely life being involved with food like that, though I'm sure the weight gain was less than lovely. You must be thrilled to have found a way to compensate for it and presumably still enjoy your job! :D

I'm vegetarian, and I have just read your blog - Thanks! you have actually made tofu sound appetising, normally I can't stand the stuff, but I am going to try your recipe next fast day.
