Newbie here - Hi

Hi all,
Just thought i'd add a few words and say Hi...... :)

50yr old male here, in reasonably good shape, but as most, have always carried more weight than i'd like. That said, I've always carried it well, and most have always been surprised whenever ive mentioned that I was 15st 5/6 etc.

However, after seeing the programme recently, I decided that for the Health benefits alone, this was one Eating Program I needed to be part of.
My Father had his 1st Heart Bypass at aged 56, so I decided that to be a Stone or more lighter and potentially lower my IGF level would be a sensible move.....

So, having started Monday last week, and fasted again yesterday, I can already feel better, and am at least 3lbs lighter already. :D
Cant say I feel any different in any other respects as yet, but that may well come with time.

Mondays & Wed are my chosen Fast days, and i find it easier to simply not eat anything at all until an early evening light meal, altho I do allow myself lightly diluted cordial and say 2 cups of tea.
Didnt have any issues at all getting through the days, and that included walking my dog for at least an hour at lunch, and another 30mins in the evening. No tiredness at all, and knowing that it was only for that day, I found it easy getting through the day.
Even when I wake the day after, I arent 'craving' breakfast, its as if the Fast severly slows the 'eating pangs', so I can see that this can be something I can stick to for as long as I wish.

My wife is also doing it, and I'm hoping that finally, his might be something that she can stick to too.......she's been a serial dieter for years and years, and needless to say, I'm encouraging her all the way.

So, 8days in, 3lbs lost, and 1% of Body Fat......Happy Days. :D

It's great that you and your wife are dieting together - it's always handy to have an ally when the going gets tough.
