Not losing weight?

Help us to help you! Please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Bit disappointing!
08 Mar 2013, 14:32
I appear to have put on 3 pounds since my last fast day (Wednesday)! I normally go up a bit once I start eating normally after a fast day, but 3 pounds seems a bit much. I am a little bit constipated; a frequent problem for me with this WOE! Could this be part of the problem, do you think :frown:

Hi Brocky - sounds to me like you're weighing in too often! Your body weight fluctuates naturally during the week due to all sorts of factors, so you won't get a real idea of your loss by weighing so often! Best just to weigh once a week or less often (say fortnightly or monthly), at the same time of day in order to see the downward trend.

The more weight you are carrying the more your body can fluctuate by, so a small loss can also be easily masked by this natrual variation. Don't be disappointed, just choose a day & time and consider that your 'official' weight - if you should choose to weigh inbetween then don't take it to heart as it's not your 'official' weight :)
